long-arm quilting {giveaway & coupon}

It's a little embarrassing how long I've been working on this quilt. I'm not even going to admit when I bought the fabric. But I still love it, and I decided that before I left Seattle I would get it done. I almost got there. :) Just the binding left to do. Add it to the list.
The only reason that I actually have it quilted is that I got a little help. I love quilting my quilts--it's one of the most satisfying parts for me (I know many of you disagree with me here!). But as this was a large quilt and I really didn't want to risk messing it up, I sent it out to be quilted by a professional on a long-arm quilting machine. Best. Decision. Ever.

My friend Karen has an amazing set up. I covet her machine! The hardest part was deciding what design to use. Check out just a sampling of them here and here. The other great thing was Karen's personal advice. Otherwise it might have been too overwhelming to choose a design!

Because I know so many of you are in the same boat as me when it comes to finishing projects, we're offering a giveaway of 50% off quilting on any size quilt, any design quilting! To enter, just leave us a comment telling us what quilting pattern(s) you like best from Karen's blog. Easy peasy! Entries must be received by Monday, November 14th at 11:59pm PT.

Here's what Karen helped me choose. A darling design worked inside each block, with a similar design around the border. Love it!

Karen is also offering a 25% off coupon to our readers! To receive your 25% Off Coupon (no expiration date), simply email "25% OFF COUPON" to KarensQuiltMagic@gmail.com. Be sure to check out Karen's pricing and quilting instructions, too.

You should really give yourself a break this holiday season and let someone else do the hard work for you!

Love the sumatra and the monstera but I'd be open to her suggestions--they are all so pretty! I have a queen-sized top that's all ready to go--I've always done my own but I'd love to have this one done on a long-arm!

I like Novaya as it combines two of the elements that I like: leaves and a bit of a swirl. She had many designs that I liked.

I love starburst. I have a quilt top sewn and waiting to be quilted...too chicken to do it myself and ruin it!

I have never seen a paisley design on a quilt before, I think that would be so cute on the right quilt!

It's so hard to choose! I have a 100 wishes quilt that needs to be quilted and I would love to pay someone else to do it! I think I like the 8 pt. star or heart links pattern for the inside of the blocks.

Ooohhh...I have a quilt composed of blocks made for us from our wedding that is semi-finished (read needs the quilting done) and this would be Fantastic! I would keep the pattern simple, maybe just the hearts :-)

This fall I married my true love after more than 10 years. Instead of a unity candle we planted an oak tree to symbolize our union.

I just love the English Oak pattern to go on a quilt in our bedroom to remind us of our most special day! Thanks for the chance!

Feather Frond is my favorite. Boy, if I won this it would certainly spur me to make a quilt for my daughter's bed!

The regular prices are quite reasonable, less than I would have thought!

I love the orange peel design. I think it would be cute against a geometric block.

I have material for 8 placemats for our new dining room table that have a spring flower motif. There is one area of the placemat that is plain material that the hummingbird motif would be perfect to highlight the spring/summer motif and add that extra something special that would transform may work into a work of art :)
